We just got news that my 2 daughters’ paternal grandma died today.  I met Essie in 1964, and the last time I saw her was at her 80th birthday party in October, 2000.  I have been blessed to be with my parents during their 25th wedding anniversary (Dad died before they could have a 50th), my dad’s last birthday in 1969, and for my mom’s 80th birthday party October, 1993.  I was there during my first mother & father-in-law’s 50th wedding anniversary in 1991...
