If someone send you an email be it on this site, other sites, or to
your email account, that you have never even communicated with before..
talking about how they would like to meet you and trying to come off
like they have interest in you... be weary.
The reason I am
saying this is because I just received a message here on zubby of this
nature.. it reminded me of something that happened to my mother a few
months back and I want to let you all know to be very careful....
I
have no idea who this person is I have never conversed with them before
in any way shape or form. I got this email from him stating he wants to
meet me and that kind of stuff. Now this is suspicious to me not
because he mentions he is from Nigeria but because this is how the
scammers do their thing with the fake money orders. My mother had this
same exact situation happen to her before... a guy with the same basic
type of email trying to befriend her and get her trust and then after
about 1 month of conversing back and forth he sent her some fake money
orders to try and get her to cash them.
She asked me about it
thank god and I told her to contact the FBI which she did and it was a
good thing because it turned out to be he was a scammer and he didn't
even use his own picture he used one of a model.
My advice,.. follow your gut instinct.. if something seems fishy it usually is!
