The Initial Letter To All Members About The Point System: Ok, many of you have noticed the point system that is located next to your profile image on your page. Since we can no longer keep it a secret I have decided to let the cat out of the bag! This point system will be the way active zubby.com members will earn revenue in the future... The more active you are the more points you will generate and when we have successfully implemented the system we are working on, you will use those points toward making money.
I do want to mention that development is going to take a while as we have Soo much work to do in order to get the system in place. However, the points you earn now will be added to your points when implement the new system. In speaking with a development company who will be helping us achieve our goal, the completed system will hopefully be in place by mid 2008.. This really depends how well Zubby can do over the next few months. The better we can do the faster we can get this system implemented. Reason being: it costs quite a bit of money and Zubby needs to raise these funds through various advertising partnerships etc...
So, with that being said, now you know what we are working on and how the members who joined after the first 1000 will make money. The reason we were trying to keep it a secret was because of the development time. We don't want anyone to get discouraged over how long it may possibly take to get everything up and running. So, please be patient with us & know we are dedicated to making this website and all of our members a success.
Inviting new members will help you push those points up so, hopefully you will begin promoting the site just as you had when trying to reach the 1,000 mark.
Again, we thank you so very much for all of the work and effort you have done to bring Zubby to where it is today!
Any information we can discuss about the point system will be posted in the Forum. We are adding a new forum to the site tonight where we can post progress. Please do not message us as we can only release limited information as we do not have all details worked out yet.
Thanks again and we love you all! Randy & Laura Zubby.Com

Question: 1) It appears to me that the "current" point system is based exclusively on user's activity. Apparently the referrals that we have so far are not presented in this point system, is this correct? 2) It would seem logical that promoting Zubby would require more effort than just staying "active" in the site. And the more people in Zubby the more activity overall. So the main question is, are the referrals going to count towards the same point system? Are this points going to be more valuable than activity? Mainly I ask this, because I really like the site, so I really want to promote it. But my activity will be limited because I am a full time student, but I could definitely promote it amongst friends and others that will be fully active. Also this would give us full incentive to promote it the same way, that day that the site went from 150 members to 650 in 12 hrs. Also I don't understand why we can not keep track of the referrals. This is important for us to know for two reasons: - If we are promoting Zubby, we can concentrate on the responsive methods. - We can easily understand who likes Zubby, besides us of course. Thanks for the responses in advance. Jaime

Hey There, Our initial model was not to count referrals which is why this was done the way it was. However, the more I am talking with members the more they seem to want a system where they could be rewarded for referrals. So, what I am doing is writing up a plan to speak with the developers to see if we can implement something like this. My only issue is figuring out how Zubby can generate revenue from an indvidual signing up initially (since the site if free) so that we could share revenue for members who do refer others and give them a piece of the pie... Hope this has helped answer your question. i will let everyone know what I come up with as soon as I sit down with the developers. Thanks, Randy

Great! You see there are so many things that I have in mind for Zubby.com and all of it's family members. However, we need to focus on creating a place where everyone can come and have fun, talk, meet new people, and most of all earn some extra income in doing it. I am very dedicated to this web site and actually haven't had much sleep since the big push. The growth was fantastic and although we thought we were ready for it, we never expected this to happen as fast as it did. I guess it's from all of my years of being online and being a search engine marketing specialist I've never really experienced a rush like that before. I have always generated LOTs of traffic for my clients but this baby creamed any of my other clients & did it in a matter of 4-5 days... So, we will do everything in our power to make this a success.. The only thing we need in return is for the members to be as active and supportive as possible. See, it's one huge team that all need to give it their best. The more we all do, the better this site will become and the more revenue we can generate.
I'm rambling now but wanted to try and explain everything I can as best I can so new members can read everything that is going on here. I also want to thank you for being so dedicated and helping in every way that you can. We really appreciate that. Please check you internal messages once you read this post. Thanks, Randy

Randy: I must say, the past 2 or 3 days I have spent way too much time on this baby also. You may have noticed that I created a group specifically to help my fellow social networkers adapt to the site easily and understand those little details. The site eases the browsing, of course. I personally congratulate you and your team in creating this site. I feel lucky of having stumbled upon it. Also the boom must have been historic, I was impressed myself, when I saw I was 135, next morning there were 180 and then there were 650. You see I think that with that boom you are going to realize the power of social networking. I saw the poll (about how you heard about Zubby), and also I saw a lot of familiar faces, something that will help create a family atmosphere here at Zubby. This baby is valuable, and I think that most of its value will come from people sharing their experiences and helping each other out. I feel that that is the best way this site can grow. I really like this site, and I intend to spend time here learning from social networkers, search engine gurus, marketers, on-line junkies, and just everyone that joins the site. Also I want to let you know that these questions I post are some questions that I also have heard from other members. And I know that you and your team are aware. Keep up the good work! We are counting on you! Jaime

About the points: I noticed that we don't get any points for posting on the groups, is this on purpose or a glitch? I wonder because I make many posts in my group. And other members do. Personally I feel groups are more controlled than forums, so it is a quicker reference for all the members. Anyway I was just wondering because my points don't increase when I make a post there. Thanks for the help in advance, Jaime.

Does the point system affect how much money the first 1,000 members make? I remember in one of the emails it said the first 1,000 members get 10% of the profit. So one member will be getting 10% divided by 1,000 correct?Does the number of points you have increase your percentage, or is this something seperate for members to make money?

What I understood is that the point are towards making money...extra. 10% for the 1000 is set, shared equally. Do you guys agree? Jaime
