Just curious to know if anybody has noticed...

But the hype of this site as it came up to the 1000 people mark was amazing, but as soon as we got there, the hype sort of faded out... and now that we got 1000 people in the first week, the last couple weeks we were lucky to get about 400.

Do you think it has a lot to do with money? I mean, now that the "First 1000" are here and spoken for, people have decided that it isn't worth checking out since they weren't the first 1000?

It makes me wonder what the real meaning of a "social network" is... a social network, now, doesn't seem to be for the socialness anymore... it seems to be for money, THAN a chance and place to spam people, and THAN, just maybe, a place to be social.

Funny how socialness comes in third when it comes to a "social" network, hmm?

Those were just my thoughts. What do you think?

Personally. I'm here for friends. I'm here because it's a clean and tidy place not flooded with crap, although give it a little while and I am sure enough people will use this place as a spamage site. Just the way people are, now... sadly enough.

Besides, any amount that the first 1000 get isn't worth getting excited over. It'll probably be a few cents every couple months like every other "Free Money" sites. So I am not getting excited about it.

I'm here to be social

well actually the activity is pretty normal about 10% of the members are logged in all the time, pretty standard for a social network.

Of course they will set-up the marketing campaign and it will explode again. 

Actually the money the first 1,000 members get wont be like 10 cents over a couple months. Maybe now but in the long run... Lets say Zubby will get to be 1/3 as big as myspace. They currently have 213 million members, divided by 3 in about 70 million members. Myspace makes $25 million a month with ads (divide by 3) but Zubby has less ads so I will be conservative and say $5 million a month in ads.

If Zubby gets 1/3 as big as Myspace, and makes about $5 million in ads a month, the first 1,000 members get 10% of the revenue so...

10% of 5,000,000= 50,000

$50,000 divided by the first 1,000 members is 50 bucks a month for each person.

Myspace sold for over $500,000,000. If Zubby gets at least 1/5 as big, we can sell for 100,000,000. 10% of that is 10,000,000 divided by 1,000 members is 10,000 bucks for each person.

All of this is only true if Zubby actually gets that big. If not, do the math. Right now, or at least the next couple of months, you cant expect much.

Just imagine if the first 1,000 members in Myspace had this chance. They would have gotten over $50,000 when myspace sold, plus the money from ad revenue.

Its obvious we werent going to keep growing as fast as when we had open spots for the first 1,000 members. Once we implement the way others can make money, we will explode again!

Yeah, it's pretty sad that a lot of people just wanted to join for the money. I personally have never been on any of the other social networking sites, but I had been thinking about being a part of one for a long time. Then I found out about Zubby.

So Zubby is the first social site I've ever been a part of, and the first 1,000 member promise of revenue sharing was an added incentive, BUT I would still have joined even if that wasn't offered.

I haven't been on the site that much as of late, due to the fact that I've been so busy, but I hope to be on here a LOT more often.

We are very excited to see you speaking about this. I have a plan for all of us! You see, what has happened is we now have a team of 1,000 members who are like part of the "Staff" the first 1,000 will help in ideas to make the site better, to help market Zubby, and work hard to bring the site to where it needs to be. I feel that 1,000 minds together from all parts of the world will come up with tools that will really blow the other sites away... I am looking for a programmer now who can help us to implement these Ideas. If we have any programmers among the first 1,000 I would love to speak with you, send Zubby ( The Mascot ) an Internal message with teh subject "NEW PROGRAMMER" for now. I am actually going to post a "Talent Forum" where members who have certain skills can post them and be willin gto help us grow.. I don't know of many sites that have 1,000 minds together working to create a top websit.. This is very powerful.. Together we will make Zubby the best!

I have lot's of new things that are soon to be included in Zubby and I thank all of you for being so dedicated and so patient.
