Hey there guys and gals,

Some of you may know that I have been doing some work on behalf of Randy and Zubby.com for the last 2-3 weeks, and it looks like it's starting to have an effect (can't wait to see Mr. Z in the N. Carolina press!).

I've just used Digg to promote this news story some more, as well as Zubby.com in general.

If you have a bit of time, please click on the Digg link at the bottom of this message, and submit your Digg vote. That way we'll push the post up the Digg ratings, and hopefully get more people coming to our beloved Zubby family. VaderIsLord has already kindly submitted his vote - thanks dude!

Even better, click on the URL of the Digg story, and come visit me at my site!

Hope this all makes sense - thanks for voting!

Just a couple of points. I am not trying to be mean or anything but you might get banned at digg.

1. You are not supposed to submit your own work or websites.

2. You cannot submit things for pay.

3. You cannot organize people to drive up ratings.

4. You cannot pay people to digg for your site. Since Randy is paying us as the first 1000 people that puts us in a grey area.

People caught digging the story for Zubby, from here can get banned also. As they get/will get paid as the first 1000.

Sorry, I have seen this happen from other sites, just wanted to let people know.

One of the reason I know the rules is because of starting my own blog. The web gurus all say to submit your blog posts and articles to digg to get good traffic it going. So you submit several things from your site.

Then Digg bans you and you need to make a phoney account to read the digg stories.

Terms of use rule number 9.

with the intention of artificially inflating or altering the 'digg count', blog count, comments, or any other Digg service, including by way of creating separate user accounts for the purpose of artificially altering Digg's services; giving or receiving money or other remuneration in exchange for votes; or participating in any other organized effort that in any way artificially alters the results of Digg's services;

If you Dig other people's work as well as your own you are usually not going to have a problem with Digg.

I first found Digg when I was writing on Associated Content and they suggest you Digg your favorite pieces that you wrote as well as favorites from others. That way you can use Digg to increase your traffic while not abusing the system.

If you only put info from your site/your work you will get in trouble for spamming them though. Although probably 50% of what is put on Digg from writers at sites like AC is articles they want to get traffic to most do not have problems.

At Digg there is a place to send a 'shout' to let all of your friends at Digg about an article. I have gotten many shouts from friends trying to get their article looked at and emails asking me to take a look at and see if I want to 'Digg" the article to try to get a higher rating.

If you make sure to view other ppl's work and Digg them too you will probably not have a problem. Making extra accounts to inflate the rating falsely is something that will be a problem though.

Yep, They can get fussy though, they say that submitting your own site falls under advertizing, and they lose money as they charge people for ads on their site.

That is a main thing anymore. Money rules everything.  :(

Yes, Please be careful with Digg.. We would not want Zubby o get banned.. The most effective approach would be for you all to post some really good blogs here as you would anywhere else and then submit them to digg for others to read.. That will work Great! So, if you are a goo writer and know about some cool new technology, or some news that would catch peoples attention than write a blog here on zubby than send it to Digg.. The more interesting blog posts the more traffic!

Some of the best things to submit to digg are Funny stories, news before it hits Digg, top 10 things, new and interesting products etc...

Thanks and start writing some interesting blogs here so we cn get some good Digg Traffic!

Thanks,

Randy

It would better if you made the adsense background blend in with the grey of the site instead of standing out like a blatant advertisemet. It is a little off putting.

Since you can change your background and the styles here at Zubby I don't know how well that would work.

If you leave it gray it stands out, but it doesn't on many of the other styles. I changed mine back to gray so I could read better but the ads blended great with the other style I was using....can't remember what that was now.

There are a dozen or so styles to use that can help you block out the ads if they are annoying you...just a suggestion. I'm just glas the ads aren't those jump out at you flashing banners that put pop-ups up for you to deal with.

Guys I will promote zubby.com I kind of heard about it and then I heard about it again in another social network site. I think one of the guys is here.

Thanks for sharing the knowledge about DIGG.

I've become sort of a Social Networker myself since the start of facebook. So I can give you pointers also. I'll try to make a blog about it also. Please can you give us a detailed zubby.com list of what there is now and what there would be in the future so I can write a nice blog.

Thanks.

Jaime
