You will find that the Gomez peer has no impact on network or pc performance.

The Gomez peer 'contacts' Gomez every 15 minutes requesting a work unit. As a result of the request a work unit is sometimes passed to the client which is then processed in about 1 minute of the pcs time. Then the process repeats itself.

The number of work units you are given depends on where in the world you are. If you do not get many work units to process you still get paid for the amount of time your pc / Gomez client is online waiting.

Let it run in the background. You will not notice it. But check it once in a while to make sure it is still running.
