Contraceptives, Invitations, or Population Control???
By Da Vinci
I'm sure we've all heard the recent reports about middle schoolers having access to contraceptive and birth control at their school clinics. I understand that children are having sex recklessly and at a younger age, however is this really the right way to go? or is this just further invitation?
Is home training really failing that much? or are we just giving children the excuse they need to go out there and have safer sex, but still sex.
I'm not saying that the previous generations were perfect but somewhere along the lines something is failing and I'm just not convinced handing kids a pass to have sex is the answer.
My other reasoning is that the government is looking for a quick fix to solve our rising population control problem. The fact is they're not really trying to get to the root of the problem of why kids are having sex, people seem to have just given up on the issue. It's more or less "ah well they're going to do it anyway, may as well be safe"...how sad, that this is what we have come down to.
A lot of parents don't have or want to have these talks with children. They complain about the content of the media, but they do nothing to censor it in their homes, and they just don't know enough of what is going on in their children's lives.
Honestly if it were up to me I would say of all the things you need a license to have it should be one to be a parent...no matter what the age. (but that issue needs to be elaborated in another blog, stay tuned)
Anyway just some thoughts I've been throwing around, let me know what you're thinking. Contraceptives, Invitations, or Population Control???
The Delray Beach, Fla.-based company VeriChip Corp. has announced plans to implant 200 Alzheimer's patients in Palm Beach County with radio-frequency identification chips as part of a pilot study to test the new technology. The VeriMed microchip is approximately the size of a grain of rice and contains a 16-digit patient identification number, which is available to anyone who scans the device with the right technology. This number can then be entered into a database to retrieve a patient's medical information. The FDA has approved the chip for human implantation. According to VeriChip's CEO Scott Silverman, the VeriMed chip will eventually provide peace of mind to the families of Alzheimer's patients by providing a safety net in case a patient should get lost. "When an Alzheimer's patient gets lost, once their arm is scanned, it would identify who they are and that they are an Alzheimer's patient," Silverman said. The chip is not a GPS device, Silverman emphasized, and cannot be used to track people in whom it is implanted. All the participants in the two-year study are volunteers, and Silverman expressed pleasure with the study's reception so far. "We had an excellent turn-out at the educational seminars and virtually 100% enrollment," he said. "This overwhelming acceptance underscores the value of the VeriMed system not only for Alzheimer's patients, but their caregivers as well." But privacy and patients' rights advocates have criticized the project, charging that it strips Alzheimer's patients of their dignity. The organization Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering (CASPIAN), owner of the web sites spychips.com and antichips.com, has accused VeriChip of testing a potentially unsafe technology on the "most vulnerable" segment of the population, questioning whether Alzheimer's patients are truly capable of giving their consent to be involved in such a study. CASPIAN has warned that the chips may cause adverse tissue reactions, problems with medical devices, electrical hazards and may place patients at risk of having their private information stolen. Consumer health advocate Mike Adams added, "These Alzheimer's patients are being used as guinea pigs as part of a campaign that intends to eventually microchip the entire population. Today, it's senior citizens, pets and children... in the near future, it will be everyone."
*I don't know about you but this really makes me nervous. As a religious individual I have to say it's a direct sign of the end times. So may people say that the end has been predicted over and over again but centuries ago we didn't have this...
Bobarded and cornered by a blue eyed adonis I have memories of his warmth and fiery locks he possessed the essence and power, alike most jocks at this stage I'm unssure how to feel uneasy not knowing what is real wanting to just go on with the flow glancing in the mirror, being reminded of this everlasting glow and just when I really pretend that it never happend his scent then ascends his embodiment to me like memory foam my soul had a feeling of being home how much is too much to allow him to see how long before I know if we'll be we how much is too much to let him know could it be genuine or is it for show I then think about this tumultuous ride I'm taking maybe I'm not the only one who is shaken could he be questioning himself the same or is this just a theory of protection, how lame but still I'd like to ponder this thought and is communication how this answer is sought maybe only time can tell if this feeling and situation will turn out well
The Women of Today and African American Women Of Today
By Da Vinci
I was reading a blog today and he was wondering what the rules are on women and men paying for the first date...now I read all the comments and responses and I laughed. I think women in society today are really messing up their roles and have a big problem with submission. I'm not saying we have to fully submit all the time because life and relationships are after all about compromise, however I think men have a role and women have a role. My personal opinion is the independent movement has done more bad than good for women. Women think they can do everything for themselves and in turn are not letting men do what they're supposed to do and that's court, provide, and cater to our needs. Also with them being SO independent they're not providing and catering to their men the way they're supposed to. Now some people are going to be offended by this, but it's not all women that are dealing with this problem it's mostly African American women, and when I say that I mean just that...european black women, african black women, etc...are still being raised to be wives and mothers, even when they work. African American women are being taught that you don't need a man you can do it all by yourself, in turn generations are being raised with this mentality. If you don't agree with me ask yourself why so many African American women are either single, with doggish men, and may never get married? Some may want to complain about Black men being with women outside the race, but I offer two solutions, number one get your s**t together because if you're a good woman eventually your efforts wont go unnoticed, and the other is stop complaining about being alone and try other races as the black men do. TO BE CONTINUED...
At one point poetic justices were my strength now it seems pointless and even sublime to burden my heart with these heartfelt rhymes being a decent girl, it seems, will get you nowhere first men say thay want the good girls but I think that's a theory of the past engaged in the baseball inning of life I have struck out thrice the thought of meeting a good man seems nice but I know I have to suspend myself in reality otherwise my fantasies may result in a fatality
