Our Christmas 2005
Posted On 12/04/2007 20:38:15

It was 2005 and our family had just moved to Arkansas (we moved there the day after Thanksgiving.) we were getting ready for christmas when we noticed that we had no christmas tree stand.

My Dad was at work (plumber) and we only had one car. My Mom decided that we are going to make one with the things we had at the house. It would be a little family project that we could do.

All though this sounded like fun trust me it wasn't. It was fun at first but then it was just down right frusterating.

What we used was a big old cinder block a empty candy tub from mints (that we eat on the way to Arkansas), and a lot of rocks from the back yard.

We got the mint tub and pocked a hole in the botton of it, put it in the cinder block. Then we put the end of the tree in it and poured the rocks in that to hold the tree up (which it did no do).

So needless to say the tree fell down like 2,000 times and we had lots of broken christmas balls.

The moral of this story is when you are looking for a good project to do with the holidays DO NOT put this on the list!!!

( christmas was a lot of fun anyways so it's all good)
