I want to apologize to all of you for not being around lately, and not being able to visit your pages. I had my gastric bypass surgery on January 31st, and am just now beginning to be able to sit up long enough to spend time on the computer to catch up with you all. I don't know how often I will be on over the next several weeks, but I will try to check in as often as I can. The surgery itself went really smoothly, but for the 5 hours afterward things were a little hairy because the anesthesiologist never put anything in the IV to prevent nausea, plus they had me on morphine which I am allergic to. Those coupled with my breathing problems (I would pretty much forget to take a breath and the monitor would flat line) made things pretty difficult for a while. But I'm now home and in not so much pain, so I will be back to my old self soon. Much love and lots of hugs to all of you........Carryl
