BATTLE-SCARRED
Posted On 02/22/2008 20:02:32

Is there a heart left in me, there are so many
ways that pull.

Battle-scarred self-inflicted wounds; trapped in
this room

with a key in my hand reaching for the lock, my
hand’s

almost there, then the heaviness hits once more.
The room is beginning to fill with waters of guilt and shame. My choices, not
knowing my place; the waters fills the room as I gasp for air. My last breath
leaves, dreams and hopes were never for me.

A face is there before me lit with soft compassion,
the eyes

burning like flames. No-fear eyes that with one
look could

win a million battles. Courage I find, can it be
so? I lift the

key in the lock, the chains fall; the waters wash
me out into

the hall. People stare, wondering will this man
live.  Live I

will and live well because I know my heart is
safe. Somewhere beyond this life it waits for me.

A STORY OF GRACE
Posted On 02/22/2008 19:55:42

This full of strife life leaves us
wondering how will it all Work out; left—right flying arrows, darts trying to
hit their mark; To release their poison into my heart, causing me to depart from
the foundation laid by the words planted deep within. Though there is war
without, there is peace; deeply rooted that has found a source that never runs
dry. A source that will stand the test, not one, not two, but whatever it takes
to see me through.

Now, we turn our eyes only to the
one, not as man that He should Lie. Someone we have no matter the storm, no
matter how worn, we know He will never leave our side. Let us not ask why, but what
do you want me to hear, which way do I go; not if! But how are you going to
bring Glory to Your Name. The story of Grace is written once more; worry falls
in the dirt and the darts are destroyed.

THE TONGUE CAN BE YOUR WORST ENEMY
Posted On 02/22/2008 19:37:40

The
power of life and death is in the tongue. These truly are words to live by. God
Bless, Dawn Hunt

THE TONGUE CAN BE YOUR WORST ENEMY!

Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have power to create conditions in
your life.

What you speak about, you can bring about.

If you keep saying you can't stand your job, you might lose your job. If you
keep saying you can't stand your body, your body can become sick.

If you keep saying you can't stand your car, your car could be stolen or just
stop operating.

If you keep saying you're broke, guess what? You'll always be broke.

If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a woman, you will always find
someone in your life to hurt and betray you.

If you keep saying you can't find a job, you will remain unemployed.

If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you or believe in you, this
very thought will attract more experiences to confirm your beliefs.

If you keep talking about a divorce or break up in a relationship, then you
might end up with it.

Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be more positive and power
packed with faith, hope, love and action.

Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you want and deserve.

Watch your Thoughts, they become words.

Watch your Words, they become actions.

Watch your Actions, they become habits.

Watch your Habits, they become character.

Watch your Character, for it becomes your Destiny.

The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you
settle for.

Thought I would share this with you.

In the search for Me, I discovered Truth.

In the search for Truth, I discovered Love.

In the search for Love, I discovered GOD.

And in God, I have found EVERYTHING.

Be Blessed!

Watch how your circumstances and situations begin to change when you change the
way you speak

Christ Life
Posted On 02/02/2008 20:51:16
Christ-Life is about growing people whose lives bear fruit. Our new byline found at the bottom of each website page says, “rooting people in the love of God that they may grow into the fullness of
Christ”.

This comes from Ephesians 3:14-19 where
Paul prays, “that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and
to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.”

While many people believe in Jesus as their Savior, they have found that their lives are not producing good fruit. Only when we are rooted and grounded in His love can we truly come into His fullness in us, which is maturity. The logo shows the plant person rooted in the ground which is the foundation.
Being a Disciple necessitates each person being able to “know the love if Christ which surpasses knowledge.” We help people move from a head
knowledge of the love of God to a real heart experience of His love. What people really believe, they believe in their hearts.

When a person is truly able to love and accept themselves as God does, they "come alive”. They begin drinking of the Living Water and receiving
light from the Son. This is Christ-Life, as opposed to self-life which is being the source of your life or trying to get life from other people. When He is truly our life, we are full of Him and reach maturity. Then we are able to bear fruit which is God's plan for each
one of us. Note the following Scriptures;

This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. - John 15:8

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you
ask in my name. - John 15:16

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. - John 15:5

“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. "So then, you will know them by their fruits. - Matthew 7:19-20

What is the fruit we are to bear?

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” - Galatians 2:22

“for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth.” - Ephesians 5:9

“And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. - James 3:18

The new Christ-Life logo is to remind us that as we are rooted and grounded in His love and as we let His Christ-Life live through us, we will be
vibrant, fruit producing plants for His Glory and thus show ourselves to be His disciples.

Ths Ragged Old Man
Posted On 01/02/2008 22:07:40
We were the only family with children in the restaurant. I sat Erik in a high chair and noticed everyone was quietly sitting and talking. Suddenly, Erik squealed with glee and said, 'Hi.' He pounded his fat baby hands on the high chair tray. His eyes were crinkled in laughter and his mouth was bared in a
toothless grin, as he wriggled and giggled with merriment.

I looked around and saw the source of his merriment. It was a man whose pants were baggy with a zipper at half-mast and his toes poked out of would-be shoes His shirt was dirty and his hair was uncombed and unwashed. His whiskers were too short to be called a beard and his nose was so varicose it looked like a road map.

We were too far from him to smell, but I was sure he smelled. His hands waved and flapped on loose wrists. 'Hi there, baby; hi there, big boy. I see ya, buster,' the man said to Erik. My husband and I exchanged looks, 'What do we do?'
Erik continued to laugh and answer, 'Hi.'
Everyone in the restaurant noticed and looked at us and then at the man. The old geezer was creating a nuisance with my beautiful baby. Our meal came and the man began shouting from across the room, 'Do ya patty cake? Do you know peek-a-boo? Hey, look, he knows peek- a-boo.'
Nobody thought the old man was cute. He was obviously drunk.

My husband and I were embarrassed. We ate in silence; all except for Erik, who was running through his repertoire for the admiring skid-row bum, who in turn, reciprocated with his cute comments.
We finally got through the meal and headed for the door. My husband went to pay the check and told me to meet him in the parking lot. The old man sat poised
between me and the door. 'Lord, just let me out of here before he speaks to me or Erik,' I prayed. As I drew closer to the man, I turned my back trying to sidestep him and avoid any air he might be breathing. As I did, Erik leaned over my arm, reaching with both arms in a baby's 'pick-me-up' position. Before I could

stop him, Erik had propelled himself from my arms to the man.

Suddenly a very old smelly man and a very young baby consummated their love and kinship. Erik in an act of total trust, love, and submission laid his tiny head upon the man's ragged shoulder. The man's eyes closed, and I saw tears hover beneath his lashes. His aged hands full of grime, pain, and hard labor
cradled my baby's bottom and stroked his back. No two beings have ever loved so deeply for so short a time. I stood awestruck. The old man rocked and cradled Erik in his arms and his eyes opened and set squarely on mine. He said in a firm commanding voice, 'You take care of this baby.'
Somehow I managed, 'I will,' from a throat
that contained a stone.

He pried Erik from his chest, lovingly and longingly, as though he were in pain. I received my baby, and the man said, 'God bless you, ma'am, you've given me my Christmas gift.'

I said nothing more than a muttered thanks. With Erik in my arms, I ran for the car. My husband was wondering why I was crying and holding Erik so tightly, and why I was saying, 'My God, my God, forgive me.'

I had just witnessed Christ's love shown through the innocence of a tiny child who saw no sin, who made no judgment; a child who saw a soul, and a mother who saw a suit of clothes. I was a Christian who was blind, holding a child who was not. I felt it was God asking, 'Are you willing to share your son for a moment?' when He shared His for all eternity.

The ragged old man, unwittingly, had reminded me, 'To enter the Kingdom of God, we must become as little children.'

If this has blessed you, please bless others by sending it on. Sometimes, it takes a child to remind us of what is really important. We must always remember who we are, where we came from and, most importantly, how we feel about others. The clothes on your back or the car that you drive or the house that you live in does not define you at all; it is how you treat your fellow man that identifies who you are

YOU CAN TRUST GOD
Posted On 12/28/2007 11:21:56
YOU CAN TRUST GOD God is much too vast and dynamic to ever be captured by the study of theology, Church history, and scripture. God is LIFE. And LIFE is a fathomless mystery. We will not ever finish plumbing His depths throughout eternity! Yet, He wants us to begin to know Him—now! And we can, personally, intimately, directly, through an intimate, inner, Spirit-to-spirit bond. And even if it takes place in the midst of our poor naĂŻve, shallow, capacity, and very short attention spans, He is pleased to meet and accept us there, where we currently are, and begin the eternal ‘honeymoon’ process. Humans in God’s sight are weak, helpless and dependent, in themselves. But, they are intended to be filled, fueled, completed, provided for and protected by His indwelling Presence and Covenant Faithfulness. They are designed and intended to be God-people, children of Eternity, living and demonstrating God’s indwelling Presence and Covenant Favor before the rest of angelic and physical Creation. When that happens there is no more separation between God and man, no more self-life radical independence. It disappears and God finally becomes the real, Living God to you and from then on there are two Covenant friends, forever bonded, interacting at all times and doing everything together—As One.  Jesus came to be the pattern that would teach the world to usher in and abide in God’s Eternal, Living Reality and Presence, and the awesome Rest and Peace that flow from His endless airtight faithfulness. He was showing them through every step He took, and every situation He encountered, that Satan is an abysmal liar and deceiver and the Truth is—YOUR TRUST IN GOD CAN ALWAYS AFFORD TO BE AIRTIGHT!   True disciples are thoroughly broken men and women. The hard shell of their soulishness is shattered—pulverized!  They are obedient to God’s Word as He has given to them, both in writing and in Person. Self-life has died and their souls become Christ-revealing, Christ-worshipping, Christ-living-in-me faculties. In them the Holy Spirit can reveal Christ awesome fruit.  That’s why our self-life must be crucified and baptized into His Death. He then takes over becoming our new Life, by the Holy Spirit abiding and revealing Himself from within submitted, Spirit-led, Love-powered regenerated spirits. The Holy Spirit was here  to demonstrate and prove that in terms  of human beings being right with God, and getting all their past, present, and future needs met, there was no unfinished business and no new task for any of us to accomplish, and no need whatsoever for fallen soulish living.  The Good News is that everything has already been done, paid for, and covered, since before the foundation of the world—BY GOD!  And God was here to apply the fruit and the benefits personally to His believing Blood Covenant people. God was revealing and demonstrating that His Covenant is between Him and His son and that everything is done by Christ in our name, and the results of it are ready to be personally applied to us by the Holy Spirit. It is Done by the infinite, Eternal Authority of Christ’s Blood Atonement.IT IS FINISHED!    I Corinthians 2:  1—8

Make sure you type in "Kiss" too, but do it last. Click here: I Do Dog Tricks

lLetter From Jesus
Posted On 12/10/2007 21:23:12

My Dear Friend,

How are you? I just had to send you this letter to tell you how much I love and care about you. I saw you yesterday as you were walking with your friends. I waited all day, hoping that soon you’d want me to walk along with you, too.

As evening drew near, I painted you a sunset to close your day and whispered a cool breeze to refresh you, and I waited. You never came. Oh yes, it hurt me, but I just kept on loving you.

As I watched you fall asleep last night, I longed to touch your brow. I spilled moonlight upon your face, trickling down your cheeks as so many tears have. Again I waited, but you didn’t even think of me. I wanted so much to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you.

The next day I exploded a brilliant sunrise into a glorious morning for you. But you awakened late and rushed off for the day. You didn’t even notice Me. My sky became cloudy and my tears were the rain. Oh, how I LOVE YOU!

Today you looked so sad and so alone; it makes my heart ache because I understand. My friends let Me down and hurt Me many times too. Oh, if only you’d listen. I really LOVE YOU. I try to say it in the quiet of the green meadow and in the vibrant blue sky. The wind whispers my love throughout the treetops and spills it into the vivid colors of all the flowers. I shout it to you in the thunder of the great waterfalls, in mountain streams, and I compose love songs for birds to sing to you.

I warm you with the clothing of my warm sunshine and perfume the air with nature’s sweet scent. My love for you is deeper that any ocean and greater than the biggest want or need you may have. If you’d only realize how much I really care.

We will spend eternity together in heaven. I know how hard it is on earth. I know because I was once there. I really want to help you.

My father cares for you and wants to help you, too. Fathers are just that way. So please, call on me soon. Just call Me, ask Me, talk to Me. It is your decision. I have chosen you. No matter how long it takes, I’ll wait forever because I LOVE YOU!!!!!

Jesus and Satan at the Computer

JESUS AND SATAN AT THE COMPUTER

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the
computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of
hearing all the bickering.

Finally fed up, God said, "THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set
up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge
who does the better job."

So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.

They moused.
They faxed.
They e-mailed.
They e-mailed with attachments!
They downloaded.
They did spreadsheets.
They wrote reports.
They created labels and cards.
They created charts and graphs.
They did some genealogy reports.
They did every job known to man.

Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster. Then ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and of course, the power went off...

Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the
underworld. Jesus just sighed.

Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their
computers. Satan started searching frantically, screaming: "It's gone!
It's all GONE! I lost everything when the power went out!"

Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past
two hours of work....
Satan observed this and became irate.

"WAIT!" he screamed. "That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all
his work and I don't have any?"

God just shrugged and said,

JESUS SAVES!!!
